Console System: PC

Company: EA/Maxis

Status: (You can't beat)

Approx Time: (All up to you)

I'm not a huge buff on simulation games. However, The Sims (and all its expansion paks) is one hell of a good game. You control your own people. How they live their lives, how they work, interact with others, and if they'll improve or dis-improve their life is all up to you. The game has an automatic feature, which if turned on, your 'sims' will do their own actions on their own without your influence.

Depending on their personality they'll act according. In the game, sometimes this may not work. I've had my sims get upset at each, be a total pig, and do actions that seemed unreasonable. (Such as their bladder isn't full and they'll go the bathroom). I prefer to do my own actions and see what happens. Though sometimes its funny if you see what they do on their own! Sims, like real people have their own needs. These needs include Hunger, Hygiene, Social Life, Energy, Fun, and Room. How your sims interact with objects/people their bars will go up and down.

Your sims *can* die but you have to do a lot to make this happen. Speaking which, this game is unbeatable. No matter how well your skills are, how many jobs you succeed in, or how many friends you get. The game cannot be beaten. However, after 100 successful days staying in the same house, the credits will begin to pop up. I guess this is what you call 'beaten'. The sims offers many additional features. You can download lot of stuff on the web. Not to mention there are over EIGHT expansion paks to install!! Making the Sims one hell of an installation. Its important that you have a lot of hard drive space.

Seeing how much work you can put in this game, you'll want to back it up and trust me, you don't want to start over. Installing the Sims and all the expansion paks can take up to an hour to install. Among the tiny features that are annoying (such as the game runs slow when scrolling). Why none of the EP's fix this error is beyond me. Bottom line: Looking for a simulation game? Then give sims a try.

Graphics: 0.800/1.000: (Pretty clear and nice.)

Sound: 0.700/1.000: (There's not a whole of sound in this game, it seems to be in the ups and downs)

Control: 1.000/1.000: (Point and Click. Thats about it. It's very well done!)

Storyline: 1.000/1.000: (How you do it, YOU make the storyline. It's YOUR sims after all)

Gameplay: 0.500/1.000: (The auto feature sometimes doesn't work right, the game slogs even on the fastest computers. Load times are pretty good. The game is decently stable.)
