Xenogears was a very interesting RPG. Nonetheless it was also frustrating at certain points. First here are the good points. One thing I've loved about this game was its music. It has an excellent soundtrack, in fact, I've already purchased the OST on Ebay. If you enjoy video game music, or just very smooth music, Xenogears is a great one to listen to. The storyline of this game is also very deep and interesting. However, one may get lost at certain points (and some things may not make sense). I think there was anime series made from this, so that may fill in some points. I have not played Xenosaga yet, so this may fill vital points from Xenogears.

Control of this game pretty tight however it can get difficult at times moving through certain things. The combat system is overall fair and the bosses offer a great challenge. Some monsters are pretty difficult to beat and best to run away. Combat can happen very often and it makes you want to run away sometimes. One big gripe of Xenogears is that of the cut scenes. They can be VERY long and after these long cut scenes you may have to fight a major boss battle. And....if you get defeated you have to face that same cut scene again. You cannot skip through cut scenes. Other than these bad points this game is a very good RPG for any gamer. You'll get a good 50 hours out of this one.
