Dungeon Siege returns in all new sequel with many improvements among the previous DS. The evil enemy in this game wants to rule the world with an iron fist, but in order to do that, he needs a powerful shield. In the game story because of what you've undertaken, you go on a huge (and I do mean huge) adventure to find the pieces of the shield and reforge it. In this version of DS you can pick your race that has innate ability of either combat maging, meleeing, ranger powers, or nature powers.

Naturally I picked Dryad because healing magic (esp healing rain) was an absolute must, because potions became a rare thing and sometimes that's all you could rely on until the next outpost / town (like in the first DS). However, DS2 takes more of a Diablo type look. There are three major towns you will visit. Just like in Diablo, you'll run across many teleporters (just like way points) to where you can warp back right to town. The feature to save anywhere and resume right that exact spot has been removed, however, there are many teleporters, so this isn't required, it may have been nice to have the feature, but its not tedious. Nature mages can also town warp (just like you could use a town portal scroll) so you can travel back to the most previous town you been in. When loading a saved game, you resume back in the latest town you were in.
Potions are shared when needed just like it was in the expansion pak. You no longer have to individually select and heal a character which was an pain in the ass in the first one. You have up to 4 characters in the standard difficulty. You'll prolly want the basic: Nature mage, Combat mage, a Melee, and a Ranger. This setup is not overall needed, you can hire pets and keep them to increase their powers. There are many ways of going through this game and you'll encounter quite a few players that will join up with you on your way to Validus.

Perhaps one of the biggest features added to DS2 that was in Diablo is characters can learn extra abilities and powers based on what job class they're keeping. Just like in the previous DS game, you'll want to stick strictly with Nature magic if you want them to be a nature mage ect and so forth. However, powers is another exception. You could have a nature magic and have their pet be extremely powerful, or let them blast with ice magic, or be a massive healer, or you can balance it out.

Unlike the previous DS games, you can use ALL YOUR SPELLS and abilities! At the end of the game there was maybe one spell I wasn't high enough to access but that's better than vs a spell that was 15 levels higher than me despite that I concentrated on nothing but nature magic. DS2 was one long game run and you'll have a tough time getting to the top. Unlike the the first DS, monsters re-spawn, so you can go and skill up and level up even with abilities that don't matter to you thats not needed for your character. So its never too late to level up a certain skill.
DS2 main quest is not only long itself, there are many sub quests you can do and most of them are very long. I suggest you do most of them, these quests offer rewards such as extra skill points and rare items. Gold at first can be a problem but eventually monsters drop enough gold and equip for you to sell. You can purchase potions spells and equipment just like in the previous DS game. However, equipment is overall not needed for your characters, because the best items are found on the field and durning quests. One feature that they added was a storage item something from Diablo. Characters can also use special powers associated with their job that recharge in time. Each job has 8 powers you can use and learn.

So there's plenty to play with in DS2. This game has been a massive improvement over the first one with some minor bad stuff. If you liked the first DS, you will love the second.

Graphics 1.000/1.000 (More defined and detailed.)

Sound: 1.000/1.000 (Music is just as good as the first one.)

Control: 0.700/1.000 (Characters don't respond sometimes but overall characters follow orders and perform tasks effectively. The menu system is well done.)

Storyline: 1.000/1.000 (Good storyline even for the sub quests item, leaves you more to chew on)

Gameplay: 0.900/1.000 (Chapters are very long and detailed. Would have been niced to select 1 character to issue an order (such as stay put here) like in the first DS. Would have been nice to select X amount of potions instead of dragging each and every one to buy (you'll do this alot and it can be tedious near the end. Bosses put up a great fight that you just can't simply go guns blazing. Special powers are awesome too.) Having town warp scrolls instead of just the spell itself would have been useful.)
