Dead to Rights is knock off from Max Payne. A good cop but framed. It is purely a knock off nothing more. However, Dead to Rights (DTR) has a lot of good strong points. DTR has a strong story line and each stage is by chapters (hence knock off from Max Payne). The main character has a lot abilities at his disposal as well as weapons. One thing he can do is disarm an enemy, take their weapons, hold them as a shield, or assassinate them instantly.

Unlike Max Payne, you get a trusty dog named Shadow who will, when his meter is full, take out any enemy instantly. Shadow also gives you the weapon the enemy dropped. DTR also has many mini game challenges. Some of these can be very frustrating. The sad part is you HAVE to pass these mini games. The bomb ones are very hard as you must be precise and perfect.

DTR negative points are its camera angles. It is very hard to kill some enemies and unlike Max Payne, you can't bluntly go in and kill shit although the action and pace of the game feels that you could. Unlike Payne, something is missing from this game, I am not sure what, but something feels missing. Bottom line: If you see this game for $20 or, give it a try. It is a very solid action game and quiet fun. If you want a harder version, buy the XBOX version of this game.

Graphics: 0.700/1.000: (Good solid graphics, little or no frame rate dropping)

Sound: 0.700/1.000: (Solid sound and goes with the game theme. Gun fire is awesome and more detailed than Max Payne)

Control: 0.700/1.000: (Great control and very fluid although it is a bit stiff when fighting off lots of enemies)

Storyline: 0.700/1.000: (Good solid storyline. Although, I wish it was more engrossing like it was in Max Payne)

Gameplay: 0.600/1.000: (Camera angles are bit hard to follow and it is easy to get hit and hard to hit them.)
