Capcom comes out with another of its RPG genre...Breath of Fire III (BOF3). Capcom does a pretty good job of the series. The graphics are pretty good and the sound is too. Control I had no issues either. The only thing that may have got to me is that of the storyline. It's pretty much just like in BOF2 and BOF1. Your the blue haired dragon guy Ryu in the 3rd installment. Off to figure out your past and who you are. Eventually when you learn more about yourself you find out your mission to stop this 'God' everyone keeps talking about. Which sounds like a the past vs the future when I got near the end of the game.

Storyline overall just doesn't make any sense. Gameplay had some issues as well. The game was not long enough to explore the 'Masters' (which are NPC's that give you skills as you level up). The combat system is very well done and makes sense. However, my only gripe of the game was that encounters happened A LOT. One will notice combat happens instantly (and almost always) at the first of entering a dungeon and almost every 9 to 11 steps. Most monsters are pretty easy (til near the end) so dying isn't very often.
Capcom seemed to mess up the desert scene, if you happen to get that far the directions don't make sense head over to GameFAQs and get the right walk-through...I know I had to get one for that part. The only other downside was there was NO FMV's! Being a PlayStation game, I was expecting this. Guess not.

GRAPHICS 0.800 (Stable good graphics)

SOUND 0.800 (Pretty good for BOF game)

CONTROL 1.000 (No gripes with control, good til the end)

STORYLINE 0.400 (Just a 'blah' storyline. There's some good interaction with characters, but it just didn't feel long enough.)

GAMEPLAY 0.500 (Other than the confusing storyline and constant combat. BOF3 is pretty good RPG. A good 40 hour game.)
